This was one of those books where I feel like I’ve seen so many reviews of it that I felt like I’d read it already, like I didn’t need to read it myself. There are two children, they catch on fire, how much more can there be? But I wasn’t expecting such a funny, poignant story that I’d devour in less than 24 hours. I loved Lillian and the two kids and their strange, beautiful dynamic.
