It was good. It was all good (enough) until the child orgy . Didn’t think I’d have to say this but it was unnecessary and just bizarre.
The depth of the story is insane though. The way characters are interconnected and the entire family lineages King has mapped out can be interesting (if not sometimes overwhelming).
It was mostly great. Definitely a product of its time. It’s a beast of book but hard to put down and at the very least unnerving. It’s the tension of the two parallel storylines that got me more than any actual fear.
