What a difference a decade makes!

I first read this book sometime in 2014. I loved it, I can remember swooning over the characters and quickly gobbling up each book that was available in the series. Plus eagerly waiting for each new book to be released.

Now though... I began this book on 3/29/2024 and here it is the end of May, I've made it to chapter seven. I will not be reading more. Having grown and changed over the last decade I find that I can not read this story. It's too fast, too unsafe, too pushy, just ridiculous. I am sad to have come to this conclusion on my return to the series but alas I have outgrown the tale it seems.
