I adore Emily Henry and everything she writes and as well written as this was, it certainly doesn't hold a candle to Beach Read. I don't think the characters had the same chemistry at all. I did like them together though, but it fell a little flat for me. I didn't like how wishy washy Poppy was too. And also, it seemed as though a lot of their problems could have been solved if they had JUST. COMMUNICATED. And started therapy sooner, which neither of them did until twelve years after their first vacation together. In my humble opinion, this was just okay. A good afternoon read and cute, but not anything to write home about.
