A Thousand Mornings: Poems
by Mary Oliver
I just received this book as a Christmas gift and decided to read it as I had the time and was excited to see what it held. I have read a few of Mary Oliver’s poems before, primarily online. However, I’ve never owned one of her poetry books and read a physical copy. I enjoyed this book much more than other poems I’ve read by her previously. My favorite was the first in the volume, “I go down to the shore”. However, there were a few others that I couldn’t acted with quite a bit, such as, “Varanasi” and “Goodbye, Fox”. Overall great, only a few I found too short or vague for my tastes.
