4 1/2 stars. This book was nearly impossible to put down. It wasn’t what I expected, but in the best of ways. I appreciated the depictions of various manifestations of love, and different kinds of family units, SO very much.
I also loved exploring the lives of celebrities and famous queer people in the ‘50s-‘90s.
Not many books have me sobbing at any point, but this one got me good on pages 353-4.
Arresting, dramatic, enrapturing, engrossing, and cozy.
