This Used to Be Easier is a fun, easy read that kept me entertained in the moment, but didn’t leave much of a lasting impression. The setup is cute, the banter is light, and the story moves at a good pace—perfect for when you want something low-stakes and breezy. 

While I enjoyed the experience while I was in it, the characters and plot didn’t really stick with me afterward. It’s the kind of book that fills a reading slump or a quiet afternoon well, but likely won’t make your all-time favorites list. Fun, flirty, and ultimately a little forgettable.
