The first thing I want to say is that it feels important to have read this book. I would say it's not my normal type of book (as an MM reader); although it is MM-coded in general, it starts to feel less like a MM romance partway through the book. The shift is subtle and well executed, and I'm so glad that I had the opportunity to read something outside what I consider my usual.
One thing I really like in this story is just how far gone Red is for Andeāhe's fully obsessed. And yeah, sure, that's also maybe a red flag. WHATEVER, it's fiction, so I love it.
