The Player

Oh how I love small town cutesy romances.
What's better is when they are in NY state since I live here in a small town.
The realness in this book took me by surprise but I understood it that much more.
We live in a world where it's easy to throw out hate and words not thinking they will matter but they do, they always do.
Small town living is not for the weak and I say this simply because of what Keller & Niall go through but also the kids. Sometimes it's inevitable.
Keller & Niall are the example of "I want my life but I am scared." and rightfully so.
The way these two grew on me as I was reading was so good and easy. Although I was mad at Niall for awhile there but I know how hard it is to let go of past hurts and the perception of people. Slowly that faded away and gave way to what he really wanted and that was to be himself along with Keller.
The points in this book are amazing and well thought out and handled great. This was a very great light palette cleanser read for me.
There was some spice but enough for this story that had there been more it may have been too much for what the book revolves around.
