Elektra by Jennifer Saint
3.5
emotional tense

I really like Saint's style. Even though this book is named after Elektra, the best parts of this book were Cassandra's and Clytemnestra's POVs. Elektra was so annoying I wanted to cry and was actually dreading her chapters.

I was grateful that the Trojan war wasn't described in detail, but it still felt kind of like a trudge at times because I've read several retellings of it now and I think I'm kind of tired. It's just been done so much. Big bonus points to Saint for actually delivering on her promise that this is a story about women.
