I did not know this book would be told from the horse's point of view. I was quite confused when the book started, but I wasn't disappointed.
This was a great listen, showing both the horror and the kindness of humanity, told through the eyes of a horse. He met kind people who treated him well. He met assholes that treated him like a tool. And despite being separated from his human, he soldiered on.
I mean, it's not like he had much of a choice, really, but still. It was such a good book, proven by the fact that it made me smile, laugh and made my heart hurt all at the same time.
