I love Elle Kennedy’s books so much that I do this weird thing and hoard them and don’t read them because I don’t wanna run out because that would be awful. But when @read_bloom sent me this gorgeous copy I knew I had to start it and it was SO good! I haven’t read Him or Us yet (book hoarder) and this is a spin off of those but I was fine jumping in here. Blake was such a refreshing character, yes he’s slightly obnoxious but he is authentically who he is and there was something charming about that. I loved that he was honest about his feelings for Jess and didn’t play any mind games with her and it didn’t hurt that he was hilarious. Her character grew on me, learning more about her backstory definitely made me like her more than I did initially and seeing her open up to Blake was adorable. Adored this one and think you will to if you like hockey, friends with benefits, a great friend group and an even better family and some spice.
