This book takes a deep look not only at Irish politics in the Regency era but also activism, grief, trust and revolution. I really enjoyed the character study between Benjamin, a man who loves easily (maybe too easily) and Lydia, a woman willing to do ANYTHING for her cause (a free Ireland). Lydia has a past with another (now de*d) man and that grief and guilt figures heavily into this story - almost to the point where it felt like a love triangle - but it also felt realistic and I enjoyed the hard fought HEA between these two. I will definitely be reading more Katherine Grant - and you should too!
