Tomboy: Absence of Good by M. Goodwin
4.0

Tomboy is like someone who watched a lot of anime but then also watched a lot of Dexter and then put a evil twist on it all with lots of fucked up gore.

So in this volume Jessica is the one they think is doing the killings. Some these dirty ass cops decide to kidnap her. The unhinged cop puts all the blame on his dead partner on her and violently attacks her. Addison is becoming more and more insane, with new creatures popping up in her head. By the end the series takes another violent twist, a dark future is the only ending that's coming.

Good: The series art remains so good. I just love the mix of it all. The deaths come quick and it's harsh. Like real life there's no heroic sacrifices or endings. It's just sad and fucked up. I also enjoyed the dark direction this series continues to go in despite it bubbly art.

Bad: The bad guys seem a little forced and been there done that.

Overall some good, dark, and interesting storylines going on here. Hope the series ends strong in the last volume. A 4 out of 5.
