Trouble on Triton: An Ambiguous Heterotopia
by Samuel R. Delany
How can I have liked reading this so much while at the same time absolutely despising Bron? He is an unreliable, unlikable narrator, and that feels like it's exactly what Delany wanted him to be. Through all the changes he undergoes (hah) he just never seems to grow or change except from once, gloriously, where we Finally see a glimmer of self awareness, some hope for a future growth.
I really liked this book. It was thought provoking and brilliant and I feel a need to reread the Dispossessed just to keep both of them in the same space in my head
