This book is just boiling with intrigue! The intense plot twists kept me up all night reading. And when I finished, I just felt stunned. Fantastic writing! All of the mysteries of the first book are cleared away one by one, and I loved seeing the characters changing and growing through their circumstances. The action is non-stop in this book with plenty of drama.

I am disappointed that Laura has sex with her boyfriend; both disappointed in the author and in Laura as a main character. I can see why it was necessary to the plot, but couldn't they have secretly eloped first or something? Laura's entire character is so complex and mysterious. She's really a drifting soul already, and so this plot point did not help at all. It could have been handled much better.
