Far From Home by Lorelie Brown

This was a lovely f/f romance between Rachel, who has loans to pay and is recovering from anorexia, and Pari, who needs to apply for citizenship in the US. Rachel offhandedly remarks that she'd marry Pari, which leads to Pari suggesting they really do get married so she can become a citizen and Pari can pay off Rachel's loans. In the process of planning their marriage of convenience they fall in love with each other.

I really loved this! The sex scenes were beautifully written. Both women enjoyed each other's bodies. It was nice that Rachel thought Pari was beautiful without fetishizing her because of her brown skin. I also loved how considerate Pari was whenever she said something hurtful regarding Rachel's illness, and apologizes and promises never to say it again.

The only problem I have with this book is at the beginning when Pari mentions being a gold star lesbian. A gold star lesbian is a lesbian who has never touched a penis, which isn't fair to trans women or cis women who have had sex with cis men before realizing they're a lesbian.

Overall this book was great and I would recommend who wants to read a sapphic romance book.
