I’ve been gearing to read this book ever since it got released and boy was it healing for my childhood heart. Milory was one of my first ever crushes and their love story one of the first that I unequivocally needed more of and this book delivered. The ending, even though I already knew what it would be, it still managed to bring me to tears and immediately turn me to the movie to see them get a somewhat of a HEA. And in my mind they’re together forever…let me be delusional. I felt like I was being transported back to my childhood reading this and I honestly couldn’t have been any happier, the world building was perfect. It instantly transported me into Pixie Hollow and all my childhood dreams came true, even though I didn’t turn into a water fairy I loved seeing the world through Clarion’s eyes and learning so much more of the hidden intricacies of this world that I loved with all my heart. I could never recommend this book more than to anyone that had watched the Secret of the Wings and yearned for the story of Clarion and Milory, yes it’s filled with yearning, angst, and heartbreak but it also managed to fill a void that my need for their story formed, when I was 10 years old.
