Eye Candy by Jiffy Kate

This was another sweet and perfect addition to this series. Now, as I remarked with the last book, it didn’t quite fit into the original Donner Bakery series as much, and so they have all been moved to their own Fighting for Love series, which is perfect since the men are all MMA fighters or part of a fighting family. And I love the names of them all, Gunnar, Cage, Vali, Viggo, and Ozzi. This story gets us acquainted with Vali, as well as Maggie O’Neal. She’s a bit different from the heroines in the other two brothers’ stories so far. Maggie was home-schooled, still lives with her parents, and has a pretty sheltered life. Vali has something that sent him running from his home in Dallas where he helped his brothers and father run their family gym. But he’s growing to like the small town of Green Valley, and of course a big part of that is probably the sweet Maggie that he’s now interested in.

The romance is sweet and perfect in this one. And while one of the big obstacles has to do with a teeny tiny lie, the way that the character it affects reacts to it is really so much more realistic than the drama in so many other stories that often annoys me. Yeah, there’s the upset part, but it’s handled the way it should be, I think.

I loved the trip they took to New Orleans as well, really made me ready for another trip there myself! I can’t wait to see which brother will get the next story, and where they will end up. Now like I mentioned before, I’m not necessarily thrilled with the new covers because I loved the bakery covers, but since this fits its own series better, I get it. But I might have to buy the new covers of the first two books so mine all match.
