Young Avengers, Vol. 1: Sidekicks
by Allan Heinberg
"Who the fuck are the Young Avengers?"
That's what opens this book and it works really well doing so.
A boy named Iron Lad, Hulking, Wiccan, and Patriot all pop up one day saving people. Captain America, Jessica Jones, and Iron Man look for these kids to find out where they came from. Soon into that it's revealed one of them is none other than Kang! But this Kang is just a young boy, not a murdering monster yet but what happens when the future Kang comes back to set things back?
It's a lot of back and forth, building up characters, introducing us to Cassie (Scott Lang's daughter) and Kate (Hawkeye). It's a great introduction but also just a fun as hell story of them all fighting against Kang with the Avengers leaders Cap and Iron Man. Art is solid, story is great, characters are wonderful. SO this is a easy 4.5 out of 5. SO I'll bump it to a 5.
