An interesting read. I was greatly intrigued by Jean Kwok's novel. "Girl in Translation" is a quick read about the life of Chinese girl who grows into an intelligent Chinese American in Brooklyn, New York. The writing is magnificent and the plot is very very interesting. I recommend this to everyone. This was my introduction to Asian literature and it successfully piqued my interest in other Asian literature. I am now on a hunt to find equally as thought provoking and entertaining novels by similar novelists. I am certain that others will love this book, too.
