This was great! I also started watching the show after but haven't kept going yet. It was different enough than the book though so I think experiencing both is doable. In the book, Cassie is an alcoholic flight attendant who wakes up in bed in Dubai with no memory of most of the night before. Oh, and the man she apparently spent it with is dead beside her. She panics and (because she blacked out and can't be 100% sure what happened) covers her tracks of being there and leaves without calling the police. Once back in America, the FBI becomes involved as the authorities find out he was tied to the Russian mob and Cassie was the last person to see him.
