Icebreaker
by Hannah Grace
I wanted to like this as much as everyone else seems to, but I feel like I'm missing the hype? I just don't get it. The book is wordy and drags on, with just too much; it felt like the book could be much shorter than it's almost five hundred page length. Like, there was truly nothing going on. If you want a book where all they do is party, have sex, and go on about their struggles, then this book is for you. The whole book hinges on the fact that Stassie needs a new skating partner because her original one gets injured and so Nate fills in and cue falling in love, but the literaly premise doesn't even happen until 50% of the way in. So what were doing for the other 49%? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. It was literally filler with about ten pages of them actually doing what the author set the whole book up to be. Stassie was mean, they had no chemistry, too much side character involvement and just overall a terrible book.
