Eva is a Chicana artist who practices the ancient, spiritual ways of brujería and curanderisma. When they were teenagers, her best friend, Karma mysteriously drowned. Now, years later, it feels like history is repeating itself as her friend drowns and her husband is arrested for her murder. She's left not knowing who she can trust, even doubting herself.

This paranormal mystery is a wild ride full of Hispanic influences.
I didn't like how quickly Eva seemed to abandon her husband until the truth came out.
Overall an enjoyable and intriguing read.
