i enjoyed the tone of this little story and how honest an real Mindy shared that she thought she wouldn’t need help but ended up being utterly grateful for having it and couldn’t have imagined doing it south out that help. 

it’s in no way written as anything other than the author sharing her experience and what she took away from that situation but i do think it’s a great little reminder to anyone reading it that it’s okay to need help, get help and do things differently than our parents before us did.
