lyndagabby 's review for:
Cress
by Marissa Meyer
'I'm going to wait until all the books come out in paperback' I said, hilariously. Within 24 hours of finishing [b:Scarlet|13206760|Scarlet (The Lunar Chronicles, #2)|Marissa Meyer|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1342485529s/13206760.jpg|18390691] (which I stayed up until 7 am reading...I mean I have insomnia anyways so it was all good but still, I had work that day) I was downloading the ebook. I'm still totally going to buy the paperback, because I have a problem... but that's besides the point
ANYWAY, this book you guys. I love an ensemble, a well done ensemble is my happy place and this is an epic ensemble indeed. Each character has their own voice and quirks, they work together, we get odd pairings (Cress and Wolf in the dress shop you guys, I can't even...)
Cress as a character is very different from Scarlet and Cinder which I appreciate a lot. She's timid and the most 'traditionally feminine' if you will. And also the most kick ass hacker in the galaxy. I loved her bouts of imagination. Although this time around the pace is break neck the whole way, which oddly found me desperately wanting to skip some lovey bits, THAT DOES NOT HAPPY I LIVE FOR LOVEY BITS. So again, a testament to pacing.
I don't honestly know how Meyer will fit everything into one more book (but let's be real I also don't want to leave this world and these characters)
Where is [b:Winter|13206900|Winter (The Lunar Chronicles, #4)|Marissa Meyer|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1426654088s/13206900.jpg|18390887]????
