It Has to Be You
by Dani McLean
Oh boy, when I got my arc from Dani I jumped right in and devoured this novella! I have been excited for it since I helped with the cover reveal a while ago and it did NOT disappoint. I don't fully know what to say and am already gushing at Dani in her DMs, so here is a summary:
-Indy is such a relatable character to me for a lot of reasons.
-Ethan is my new idea book boyfriend. He is wonderful in so many ways but also has weakenesses which make him human.
-The reveal at the end has foreshadowing you can catch and is still delightful when it does happen.
This line: "you’re the kind of special I never could have wished for. Because I didn’t think it existed." Okay, SWOON!
Thank you to Dani for the ARC! I have loved this series so far and this is definitely one of my faves of the four (but also they're all good so don't make me choose).
Reread update: These two are EVERYTHING! He is charming and confident, but turns out he isn't as straightforward in the rest of his life.... She is so relatable, living with imposter syndrome while simultaneously being sure of what she wants, at least until he comes along... I love the fate/invisible string/red string of fate aspect to this story. I have one to go in this series reread and I know it is excellent and I love it, but these two may be my fave. Also, forgot it was only from Indy's POV, but didn't mind.
