This book is truly astounding and one that I revisit often, like an old and favorite friend. McCann displays a wide array of different prose and writing styles that give voice to so many diverse characters. The connections between the characters are brilliant and very artfully crafted. The story itself is rich, intricate, and complex, and yet very subtle with its ties to 9/11. McCann is a brilliant writer, and his brilliance shines in full force through this novel.
