First off, I want, not I NEED these signs for my Library!!! Please make them real and let every library have use of them. Okay, off my soap box, but on to Monsters. We have just gone through an election, which has left many confused on the future of the United States. We are not alone. Monster is in the same predicament. He wants to make things better so he decides to run for President. But he has to find a platform that his constituents will like and can get behind. He finds it in the closing of the local library and the fall of our education system. This seems like a very heavy topic for a picture book, but it is handled with grace and fun. It is a topic book, a reach out and help book, but also a book to help our youngest to learn how politics work. I really like that this rhyming, sing song book does not talk down to kids. It uses real grown up words like oratory. So much fun. More Please!
