Holy smokes, this is an incredible book!
I was intrigued and enthralled from the prologue! The writing, the world-building, the characters and their stories and journeys were breathtaking and heartbreaking!
I felt deeply for each character. Oh, so deeply!! Jemisin’s writing made them all feel so real and life-like. This is Fantasy, yes, but the character’s struggles, wants and lives are fully relatable and ring true to the current struggles many experience—belonging, family, love, purpose, hopes, happiness!
Highly highly recommend this read.
Now I’ll go on to Book 2!!
