My Lucky #13
by Piper Rayne
Superstitions, hockey, emotions and passion. My Lucky #13 is all that and more.
I absolutely love Aiden. He is in a slump and all it took was a glass of wine to the face and that slump had ended. Now he is determined to stay out of the slump, even if it means a glass of wine has to be thrown in his face before every game. Aiden is so much more than just a hockey player. He is the team captain, he is a great friend, uncle, brother, and son. He loves hockey but there is also a love he has for his family, especially his niece. Saige isn’t new to the sports world, however, after being burned in the past buy a boyfriend who also happened to be an athlete, she tends to stay away from them, even more so when they are also her client.
I loved the friendship that Aiden and Saige formed. While it was an odd start with her throwing the wine in his face, the more time they spent together it just grew into something. There was also a connection between them and a spark, but neither really acted upon it. Though chemistry can only be ignored for so long before things explode. There were some ups and downs to their relationship, plenty of steam and lots of laughs.
I adored the secondary characters who also happen to be Aiden’s teammates and best friends. I can’t wait to see where their stories go!
If you’re looking for a hockey romance this is one to check out!
