A Girl Named Rainbow is a book to share and celebrate the uniqueness of names. Rainbow begins the story being proud of her name, but after some mean children at school tell her that Rainbow cannot be her name, she decides she wants a new name. With encouragement from her mother, Rainbow learns how to love and appreciate the power of names.

This book shares an important message and will be something that can help many young readers know the special power their names have. The illustrations seem to be aimed at a younger audience, following some of the popular, modern cartoon styles.
