I really enjoyed this well written take on the fated mates Omegaverse genre.
It’s not insta-love but a nice long slow burn instead.
Gregory is a selkie who is not your typical shifter alpha but is a gentle, marshmallow of a man. Daniel is a human omega who knows nothing about fated mates and is somewhat confused by the whole idea. Both of them are complex, likeable characters with their own insecurities that need to be overcome. Throw an interfering matchmaker of a mother who won’t give up easily into the mix and it makes for a bumpy road to their HEA. It takes a long time for them to act on their mutual chemistry but when they eventually do, the heat level rises accordingly.
A couple of the interesting side characters have set the scene for the next book in the series.
I found this to be an easy, enjoyable read, with some feels included, and I highly recommend it if fated mates/omegaverse is of interest to you.
