This was such a unique way to write a book. I've read flashbacks and flashforwards, but I'm not sure I've read a story that was formulated exactly this way; it was stunning. And the fact that we got so much history and emotion in less than 240 pages? That is a difficult needle to thread, but was done with care and skill. Kayla and Ryan's story was complicated and could have gone off the rails at any time, but Smith still managed to make it poignant and romantic. I am a fan! 🥳💗
