When Anneliese lost her fiancé, Donovan, all the lies of his life were brought to the surface and he truly wasn’t the man she thought he was. One secret he hid was that he has a brother, Lachlan, and that they look a lot alike.
I loved the progression of Anneliese and Lachlan’s relationship. From strangers to quickly becoming enemies to then learning how to heal and forgive together, which eventually led into something more. There was a strong connection between the two of them.
I liked the somewhat different storyline, too. It was refreshing to read something that is a little different.
