It was alright...

I really enjoy Rachel's blog and what she stands for. This book was good... just not great, in my opinion. There were some great quotes -- I underlined quite a few. For me, once it hit the part where she visited a monastery in Alabama, it dragged from there on out. It was a struggle for me to finish...
As someone who has experienced many of the same things and questions as Rachel, I had hoped this book would resonate with me more. It didn't really help me along with anything I'm struggling with or tell me anything I didn't already know... it seemed to be like any other Christian book. It spouted scripture here and there. It replayed Bible stories to make a point.
So.. maybe it was just my expectation of it being a more cataclysmic book that let me down. But, to me, it was just alright.
