I listened to this book and I think that affected my rating. A lot of the book felt like “filler”. I didn’t know what the actual plot was until halfway through. Maybe I just missed it because I was listening while driving or doing chores and I wasn’t focused like I am when I physically read books. I am totally pissed at Jude and Cardan for not going further with this sadistic romance they have between them. Just one trist occurs... There are feelings but no one is doing anything to make anything actually happen! And then when you think it will, Cardan has to be an ass and do what he did at the end of the book! Their relationship is not healthy, lol. I’ll read the last book in the trilogy to find out what happens, but it better redeem this trilogy or I’ll be quite upset. I had such high hopes.
