Dead Eleven
by Jimmy Juliano
Dead Eleven is a super fun and creepy read about a man searching for his sister who's gone missing on an island in Lake Michigan where everyone acts like it's 1994... TBH having not grown up near great lakes I never even thought about islands where people live being in lakes like that, so that was interesting on its own.
The story is told with a mix of narrative chapters, interviews, texts etc and kinda reads like the book version of a found footage film. It's not overdone though, the majority of the book is told in normal narrative style and I think it all comes together well.
Finding out the mystery of the island is super entertaining and it's also reasonably scary! I definitely recommend this one
