I read this book basically in one sitting, & I’m not sure that I would call it a FUN read or say that I enjoyed myself, but I could not put it down and really really wanted to know what would happen next.
It fell a bit flat for me rating-wise bc
the plot twist at the end seemed really lazy??? idk if it’s because the twist has been sooooooo overly hyped on the internet or if it just didn’t hit for me preference-wise, but I think the story would have been stronger if the plot twist was left out of it completely. It didn’t hit me in the gut the way that other twists have done in the past, and especially the last few lines felt really really fluffy. I think that if the twist had been left out OR if it had been fleshed out even further (rather than just in the last few pgs) the book would have been 5 stars for me.
