omg this is my first book by angel m. shaw and i loved it! i love the mob-adjacent vibes and the fmc, winter! she's incredibly strong after going what she went through.

she meets hunter because his son, august, is her client. august is an autistic teenager who has gone through a traumatic event, and now has to live with his dad. 

i love that hunter can recognize his wrongs and he's trying to be the best person he can for winter and august. and hunter's sister, ella!? i love her too. her bubbly personality, the way she is with august. i absolutely loved all the characters.

i can't believe the ending! i need to read the next book immediately.
