Sol and her wife Alice have moved into a mostly white gated community. Sol is on probation from her job as a biologist after an accusation of plagiarism and visits her homophobic father. The neighbors in the community are a huge nightmare. This book does a great job at showing how white and cultish gated communties are, as well as the price of assimilation. This is my first time reading something by Vincent Tirado and I am definitely going to read more of their books.
