The Ballad of Perilous Graves
by Alex Jennings
Thank you to Orbit Books for sending me a copy of this book!
This was honestly just okay for me. While I adored the fantastical New Orleans aspect interwoven with the folklore and magical elements, I'm not a big fan of magical realism. This confused me and was a bit slow in the beginning. I LOVED Peaches, Brendy, and Perry and their dynamic, I loved the music and family aspects, but I wouldn't give this more than 3.5 to 3.75 stars.
