An accessible entry point into ancient Mesopotamia, this book does an excellent job of exploring ancient history through the contents of a library.

I found each chapter enthralling, especially the ones on literature and magic. The author blends short narratives along with historical fact, and it creates an absolutely stunning book!

Thank you to Edelweiss and University of Chicago press for allowing me to read this book early.
