  • felt as if we started in the middle of the story, where the whole worldbuilding had been explained already and we’d gotten to know the characters. It felt as if we fell in the middle of the story without any context at all
  • The writing style feels juvenile and didn’t work for me
  • No depth to the characters, very one dimensional and almost comical in how they acted a certain part. The dialogue should be funny but only made me cringe in a not good way. 
  • The book feels and reads very much as a fanfic, where the characters and world are already established and have no need to be developed well to understand and love the story, but that isn’t the case here; making the lack of development a bit part of me not enjoying the book
