At this point the Darth Vader series is stronger than the Star Wars main series, though not by much.
We have Vader going around being a asshole to everyone. That's just who he is. At the same time he sent his assistant to find his boy. All this is happening at once and makes it a clutter event of driving the empire further through the galaxy while also dealing with his son. He will even put down his own people if they try to get to his son first. It's interesting cat and mouse game to cover his own tracks.
I do like Vader a lot. He's written well here, and not so one note. He has complex feelings about his son, even to the point of keeping his identity mostly a secret from everyone. The art is also pretty good and Aphra is always pretty entertaining. The plot itself is okay with a lot of political talk of where to take over next for the empire. Not as interesting.
Overall, it's solid, and interesting, but I want to love the main story more. For what it is though, still a 3.5 out of 5.
