It's strange how I've recently been on a Mr. Rogers kick, even though I didn't exactly grow up with the show. Due to my overactive child brain, I thought he was a bit boring, but still considered him a good enough guy.

I think now that I'm older, I've kind of been needing these lessons now more than ever. I want to believe in a world where people are kind and decent to each other, where are neighborhoods are safe and full of helpful people; I want to believe that people are capable of opening up and talking about their feelings rather than hiding them away until they all spill over.

It's interesting how people look at this amazing man and think "Wow, I wish there were more people like Mr. Rogers." And the funny thing is, there can be, that was the whole point of the show. Mr. Rogers believed we could all become helpful and kind human beings.

I know I haven't talked at all about this specific comic, so let's get to that. It's an interesting mashup of biography/how this person has impacted certain lives. It's informational but also gives you an idea of how much of an influence this man had and continues to have. I'm really glad I picked this up, seeing as I too have a job that deals with small children. Some days, it's easy to lose patience with them, but that shouldn't keep you from helping them grow and learn.
