How to Make Friends with the Dark by Kathleen Glasgow
4.0

A deep reflection into the world of grief . I am once again amazed at Kathleen Glasgow’s ability to address such heavy topics in a way that is suitable for the masses. This book takes on the many variables that come with death such as guilt, financial stress, planning , secrets being unearthed and unexpected life adjustments . I think the authors statements about the foster system are an unfortunate reality and a much needed reminder of the work that needs to be done . Personally I enjoy this authors shorter chapters and writing style but as I’ve said before I will acknowledge that it is not likely to be for everyone . I’m not sure if I will finish the third book in this collection as the subject matter is a lot to intake when you’ve lived some of the scenarios portrayed.
