It is so sad to think about all of the kids who are treated like the girl in this book was. I thought it seemed interesting, and it was only fifty cents at a thrift store. I had no idea that it was going to be such a heavy read. I am glad that there was some manner of positive resolution in it, but, gosh, I cannot imagine.
