📖 What a fun start to a the Midnight Mayhem series! I went into this one blind and I highly recommend that! If you’ve read anything by Amo before, then you know you are in for twists and turns and it’ll be an absolute blast trying to figure out what she’s got coming around the next bend. I know I was constantly putting together a new theory or modifying a theory as new puzzle pieces came to light. As one comes to expect with her men, they are morally gray with a possessive streak a mile wide. She didn’t disappoint here with Kingston! I really enjoyed this plot and meeting all these new to me characters! And for those of you who have read the Elite Kings Club series — we get a little cameo of our three fav boys! I’m really looking forward to the rest of this series.
🎧 This is dual narration with dual POV story telling. Maeve York narrated our FMCs POV and and Rip Devons narrated our MMCs POV. This was my first time with both narrators! I thought their voices fit our characters nicely. Maeve has mid to low pitch voice (for a female) with a very clear distinction between narration and speaking voices. Rip has a medium pitch voice (for a male) and did a great job with pacing and inflection to really display a full range of emotions with his male speaking voice, keeping me fully immersed in the story. I didn’t 💯love the male voices by Maeve or female voices by Rip, so in this case duet narration would have really crushed it, but this is still a great voice performance by both that I highly recommend!
