The Weird: A Compendium of Strange and Dark Stories
by Jeff VanderMeer, Ann VanderMeer
It took me two months to read every single story in this massive collection. While there some I didn't particularly enjoy, the majority of the stories were fun to read. My favorites were:
The Spider by Hanns Heinz Ewers
Don't Look Now by Daphne du Maurier
Sandkings by George R.R. Martin
Yellow and Red by Tanith Lee
It's a Good Life by Jerome Bixby
Family by Joyce Carol Oates
There are many more I loved but there are so many stories and talented authors in this book. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to read some creepy and weird stories. Just be prepared to spend a lot of time with it, because it is just so big but still worth every second.
And I really, really loved that the pages are double columned. For some stories it did feel like a chore but for the ones I enjoyed it was nice having so much to read on a page.
